Here are a few seniors we have photographed this last month.
What started out as a wedding invitation turned into a wonderful family vacation. My brother just got remarried to a wonderful woman, beachside in Florida. Most of our family made it and we had a fabulous time. It was the first of many things for our kids…airplane ride, swimming in the ocean and watching parasailing. Other than the jellyfish stings and the salty water, our kids (and everyone else) had a blast!
We have added three beautiful people and their extended family to our family and they are such neat people. I am so glad that Jeff found a beautiful person – inside and out – to share his life with. Not only is she from the area that we lived in, but she is also an Oklahoma State Cowboy – you can’t get much better than that.
Here are a few of the images from the week that I want to share with you.
Whether it is art or athletics, our community is full of talent. In the past few months, I have photographed talented dancers and athletes that have acheived All ESD Conference Status or even All State Status. Not only can you find the athletes in the Riggs H.S. hallway walls, now, you can view the fine young artists in the Theatre. I have posted a few images from the Forney Dance Studio Spring Performance and a few of the All ESD and All State Athletes from Riggs High School. You can find more on our website in the client images.
Recently, I photographed a young lady that I usually only see on the softball field or the basketball court. WOW! What a transformation this senior can make. From the girl next door to “America’s Next Top Model” as her sister, Katie says. Take a look at some of her images and you’ll see what I mean.

Here’s a few from Kendra’s senior rep session. She is such a well-rounded, beautiful young lady. We have only done a few, she’s coming back in the fall for more. To see this session in full or other portrait sessions, visit our website www.thestudio-pierre.com, and click on client photos.
When a client calls and says they want to “try” and have portraits made of their 2 year old, I tend to think, “it can’t be that bad”. This client called and said that they had tried going elsewhere and just can’t get their 2 year old to cooperate. Okay, so maybe it might be a little challenging this time. However, Taylee(2yr.) was not just coming in alone, we had a 1 month old sister(Kylie) as well. After photographing the two of them, I would have never guessed that she has ever been a problem elsewhere. (I realize that children act better for others than they do at home) Anyways, Taylee really posed well for me and had fun. I found out that Mom had been prepping her – but in a good way. She had been telling her how much fun we were going to have, and that we were going to go play while we are taking her pictures…just really making it sound like “FUN”.
Exactly! Take the “terrible” out of the “twos”. Kids always pick up on stress of the parents. If you tell them they are going to have a good time and it is going to be fun – then it will be. Try to choose your clothing a few days ahead of time so you aren’t stressing about what they are going to wear the morning of. Just try and reduce stressful things and really talk up how much fun having pictures taken. However, be careful not to “bribe” them before your session. Sometimes bribing tends to make them only focus on their reward. Occasionaly bribes are needed, but we can worry about that during the session.
Graduation is such an exciting time for families with a graduating senior. For high school graduates, it means taking that first step into adulthood. For college grads, complete independence! The family then, gets to sit back and watch their seniors become their own person, hoping that they have done their job in instilling good moral values, work ethics and good financial habits. All in all, the graduates and their families are all facing a new world. Congratulations Graduates & Good luck to all in this great big, ever changing world!
